LIFE STYLE 3 (after part) Flowers and Food

As we saw on the precedent post "Flowers and Food", lot of flowers are edible. We can cook them in sweet or savory dishes for our own pleasure. Today I suggest you a savory south french dish: Courgette's Flower Fritters



Recipe: Courgette's Flower Fritters

  • 200g flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 2.5 dl of beer
  • oil for frying
  • salt

1. Mix the batter flour, egg yolks and beer.
2. Let stand one hour.
3. Beat the egg whites until stiff and fold them into the batter.
4. Remove the pistil zucchini flowers.
5. Dip them in the batter one at a time and cook about 3 minutes.
6. Drain them halfway. Drain them on paper towels.
7.Salt and present them on a dish.
